Le Palais de Justice. Lyon, France.
The 'Palace of twenty-four Columns' looks proudly over the Saône River. Situated in the 'Saint-Jean' quarter of Lyon which is known for its medieval streets, the Palais de Justice is a fine example of the Neo-Classical style and dominates the buildings around it. Built from 1835 to 1842, on the site of a previous court house dating from the 15th century, it was designed by architect Louis-Pierre Baltard.
